| Acute Stress |
Measured impact of blood sampling on metabolite levels. For steady state plasma labeling, mice were infused with stable isotope tracers for 2.5 hrs. Mice fasted 6 hrs before sampling. First, an arterial sample was collected via catheter, then a sample from the tail was collected by snip, then a second arterial sample was collected. The results of these experiments were published in "Impact of acute stress on murine metabolomics and metabolic flux, PNAS 2023". |
